|  | WHO ARE WE? |  | Who are we? Spark of Inspiration is a family led children's educational toy store and were even runners-up in the Yell.com Family Business of the Year Award. Like many parents we want what's best for our children and that includes great educational TOYS and inspiring games. We've wasted far too much money on cheap toys that don't benefit our children at all. As parents we wanted and belive you want, quality toys at affordable prices that both entertain your children whilst helping them to learn new skills and develop new ideas. We work hard to source a great selection of innovative educational toys and always love to hear from you about new items that you've come across.
I confess but don't apologise for being a big kid who just loves to play - educational toys, games, books and puzzles - that's what we're all about. We don't claim to be particularly good at science or maths, though we love both - that's why we adore straightforward resources with easy instructions that make these subject areas accessible to anyone. If kids educational toys and games are fun rather than dull, it's easy to encourage them to put aside their computer games and TV's for a while so that they can really become enthusiastic about more hands-on projects. Have a go at the NEW Scratch Magic sets - these brilliant art sets allow children to get really creative. Scratch away at will and design your very own masterpiece.
Our name "Spark of Inspiration" captures the essence of what we're about. Our ethos is to encourage children to develop their own, unique, creative abilities. We want kids to have the confidence to question everything around them and to develop their thinking skills. Have a go at science, try your hand at art & crafts, be a mathematical whizz - whatever you'd like to try out, we've done our best to provide you with the starting blocks to successful learning opportunities.
It's not all about expensive items, if you're on a tight budget, we've tried really hard to find fun, good quality products that can benefit your children in a multi-dimensional way. If you'd like a fun way into Physics, try Skyrail. For spatial awareness, try Lonpos or Blokus.
Give your children access to a varied source of information and encourage them to question everything around them. For us, educational toys shouldn't be dull or borning - quite the opposite. The more exciting and stimulating the learning activity, the more enthusiastically it will be approached. Needless to say, the more enthusiastic your child becomes about discovery based learning and the more opportunity they get to actively engage in tasks, the more benefit they'll gain.
